Q: Simplify the radical:
Solution:
Enter 2 for the index -- this number ---->
(It is understood to be 2 when it is not
given in the original radical.)
Enter 40 for the
radicand (the number
under the radical.)
The program reports:
"2 RAD 10"
Interpretation:
*Note: When simplifying radicals using this program, the radical in the answer has the same index as the original radical. Remember to write the index in your answer, if it is any number other than 2. This program can not be used to simplify radicals that require changing of the index.
