Q: The sum of four consecutive integers is 358.  What is the least of the four integers?

Solution:

Run SUMATOB.  How?

Choose 2 for
'N Consecutive'


Enter 4 for the
number of
consecutive integers.

Guess a value for the
first integer, and see
whether the sum is
358.  If not, increase
or decrease and
guess again.

The correct guess is 88.

The program reports that the sum is 358, which is the correct sum according to the question.

Interpretation:
88 is the least of the four consecutive integers.
